Cathedral Grove #2, acrylic on canvas, 37”x49”

I went to Cathedral Grove on Vancouver Island a couple weeks ago on a beautiful but chilly day. I took hundreds of pictures and I’m very excited about the paintings to come! I paid particular attention to the spatial orientation of the tree trunks on this one. There is sporadic light that comes through the canopy hitting areas of bark and leaves.
