Red Silhouette, acrylic on canvas, 20”x30”

This is a small landscape painting of Stanley Park in Vancouver during a warm sunset. I’ve taken liberty with abstract shapes and lines, which have developed as a stylistic brushstroke. Where these hallucinatory departures from realism emerge is almost completely automatic.
